Empowering Women Retreat

Join Beth Sturdevant and Kelley Crowe as they lead a once-in-a-lifetime weekend empowerment excursion for women this summer.

8 women are invited to go on a unique and empowering 2-night, 2-day camping and hiking journey with Beth and Kelley in the Adirondack Mountains, Upstate NY.

The adventure begins Friday late afternoon and evening at the Wilderness Campground, Heart Lake (Adirondacks, NY), where we will set up camp, enjoy a delicious fireside cookout, roast marshmallows, and end the evening with a calming meditation to prepare for a restful night’s sleep amongst the trees and the stars.

Saturday morning, we start our day early with a little light yoga to prepare for the hike ahead, followed by a hearty campfire breakfast, then head out on our exciting and beautiful all-day hike of Mt Marcy; New York States highest peak at 5,344ft, OR Mt Jo; a shorter hike with one of the best views of the High Peaks region at only 2,876 feet.

Lunch and snacks will be enjoyed along the trail and at the summit, where we take in one of the most breathtaking and inspiring views of the Adirondack Mountain range.

Once back from the days hike and cleaned up, we will enjoy a fun evening out celebrating our hard days hike, at one of Lake Placid’s delicious restaurants, followed by a game or two of mini putt or a movie at the old fashioned 1920’s movie theatre (weather pending).

The evening will end with another roaring campfire and relaxing meditation, before drifting off to sleep at the end of an adventured and fun-filled day.

Our final morning will begin with light yoga to stretch out our sore muscles from the previous days hike, followed by another hearty campfire breakfast as we pack up our campsite to leave.

One final stop in Lake Placid to purchase lunch for the road and a quick dip in Lake Placid’s Mirror Lake, will help prepare us for our 4-hour drive home to Ottawa.

**Women that do not want to go on the hike, we would still love for you to join us; instead of hiking, you are welcome to spend the day exploring the beautiful area around the campground, relaxing or swimming in Heart Lake, or lounging on the large Adirondack LOJ porch.

If this sounds like something YOU would enjoy; we would be thrilled to have you join us on this empowering adventure.
